Toddla T's New Single: Streets So Warm

Zillablog

Toddla T takes aim and scores with the big bass sounds and poignant lyrics of "Streets So Warm," the first single from his new album, Watch Me Dance, which was released on Ninja Tune on 09/13/2011. The lyrics are particularly powerful, making for a dancefloor-aimed treatise on the social effects of the political and economic crises currently gripping the globe.

Dubstep, dancehall, and drum & bass efforts are present. The Zed Bias mix takes care of the former in stellar fashion. The Ross Orton & Pipes mixes are the standouts on the release: Rough, bass-driven, and haunting. The Serial Killa mix hearkens back to the darkstep drum & bass of the late 1990s, which is always a favorite in my book.

Check out the video for “Watch Me Dance” which features the always-classy, Roots Manuva. Also, take a look at "Take It Back”.
